Refund Policy

TL;DR — Quick summary
If you're not satisfied, email us within 7 days of purchase and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked — as long as you've accessed less than 20 % of the course content. Refunds are processed within 5–7 business days.

1. Eligibility for a Refund

You are eligible for a full refund if all of the following conditions are met:


- You request the refund within 7 calendar days of the original purchase date.
- You have accessed less than 20 % of the course content (e.g., fewer than 2 out of 10 lessons watched).
- The course was purchased directly on esgyan.in. Purchases made through third-party platforms are subject to that platform's refund policy.
- You have not already received a certificate for the course.

2. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued if:


- More than 7 days have passed since the purchase date.
- You have accessed 20 % or more of the course content.
- A completion certificate has already been issued for the course.
- The request is for a free course or a course obtained via a promotional coupon that stated no refund applies.
- The account has been suspended for violating our Terms of Service.

3. How to Request a Refund

Send an email to refunds@esgyan.in from your registered email address with the subject line "Refund Request — [Course Name]". Include:


1.1. Your registered email address.
2.2. The name of the course.
3.3. Your Razorpay order or payment ID (found in your purchase confirmation email).
4.4. A brief reason for the refund (optional but appreciated).

We will confirm receipt within 1 business day and process the refund within 5–7 business days of approval.

4. Refund Method

Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment method:


- UPI / Net banking / Debit card: credited within 5–7 business days.
- Credit card: credited within 5–10 business days (depends on your card issuer).

GST paid on the purchase will also be refunded in full. We cannot issue refunds to a different account or as platform credits unless the original payment method is no longer available.

5. Technical Failures and Double Charges

If your payment was deducted but you did not receive course access (e.g., a payment gateway timeout), please email support@esgyan.in with your payment reference. We will verify with Razorpay and either grant access or issue a full refund within 2 business days — no 7-day window applies in this case.


If you were charged twice for the same course, the duplicate charge will be refunded automatically within 5 business days once we confirm it.

6. Cancellation of Subscription Plans

ESGyan currently sells individual courses rather than subscriptions. If subscription or bundle plans are introduced in future, this section will be updated accordingly.

7. Changes to This Policy

ESGyan reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
